A journey into French music from Offenbach to Gainsbourg

Sunday 30th April, 2023 at 7:30pm
(Doors and bar open at 7:00pm)

Fifi la Mer and Oliver Wilby present a unique, brand new show that will take you on a journey through 100 years of French music, from Offenbach to Gainsbourg. The show features the dulcet tones of Fifi on accordion and voice, and the talents of Oliver on clarinet, members of the saxophone family, and accordion. Together they will transport you to Paris with their repertoire of musical gems, and along the way you will get to enjoy tales of mystery, romance and heartache that we so often associate with the city of lights.

Their visit to Warkworth follows performances at the Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), the National Theatre, St Martin in the fields, Elgar room and cafe Verdi @ the Royal Albert hall and a variety of music festivals. They have played on the Orient Express and on boats including the Belle Vallee on the river Seine.

Tickets (£10) should be booked with Peter Burnham, preferably by email to peter.burnham@gmail.com . Alternatively telephone him on 01665 711388.
